Throwback Thursday – A Brief History of Guam and the U.S.: The surrender of Guam to America in 1898 during the Spanish-American War was a friendly one. It was a smooth transaction between the Americans and the Spanish government. According to Becky Little, History Professor Dr. Diana L. Ahmad at Missouri University and Technology shares that when the U.S. broke out the war in June 1898 after sending the USS Charleston (C-2) and arriving in Guam, the Americans on board signaled the Spanish for war. The Spanish mistook it for a salute and apologized. In fact, history records state that Americans had to define their indifference between the two and that they were in Guam to claim territory. In less than 30 minutes that day, the Spanish government gave up the land to the United States. In short, the annexation of Guam was a war without actual war. Guam officially became a U.S. territory on December 10, 1898 in the Treaty of Paris.

Throwback Thursday – The Ever-growing Los Angeles Port: There is no doubt, why the Port of Los Angeles, located in the San Pedro Bay, has been named as “America’s busiest port.” According to the recent cargo statistics, the port ranks number one since the year 2000 in container volume ranking, and number 19 in the world. The harbor reported an estimated 8.8 million TEUs (container volume) in 2016 and $272 billion in container value. Ever since the colonial period, despite the restriction the Spanish imposed on trading with other countries back in the day, the port thrived remarkably with its trading business market. On December 9, 1907, the Los Angeles City Council created the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners to oversee the management and operation of the port. Many industries have moved cargo here, and with its rapid growth over the years, the port has expanded over 4,300 acres of land. The Los Angeles Port has played and continues to play a major role in the global and local economy employing more than 999 employees (2017). Throwback Thursday - The formation of Hawaii: If you ever visit the state of Hawaii, think again how the islands were formed. The eight islands that make the state of Hawaii (Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and the Big Island) did not magically appear in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. There is in fact a scientific explanation to understand how these islands formed. In 1934, scientists studied the Big Island of Hawaii and concluded that volcanoes created these islands. They learned that when a volcano erupts and the lava reaches the ocean, the rubbles pile up to form a new solid land. For example, the rubbles from these five volcanoes: Kohala, Mauna Kea, Hualalai, Kilauea, and Mauna Loa built the Big Island.

Package tracking (or package logging) is the process of localizing shipping containers, mail and parcel post at different points of time during sorting, warehousing, and package delivery to verify their provenance and to predict and aid delivery.
Package tracking developed historically because it provided customers information about the route of a package and the anticipated date and time of delivery. This was important because mail delivery often included multiple couriers in varying environmental circumstances, which made it possible for a mail to get lost.
Track a PKG offers a quick way to track trace your package. It contains most of the global couriers as well as local shipping providers and post/EMS companies. If you don't find your shipping courier, please contact us so that we add it to the service. To track and trace a package, use the forms in the top of this page.
