CARGOVENTION 2018 - “Be bold for logistic innovation”
For the very first time, the Lufthansa Cargo #Cargovention took place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany in March this year. 250 industry, opinion-leaders, innovators and start-ups, that are transforming the logistics industry, came together.

TRANSPORT LOGISTIC EXPO 2018 IN SHANGHAI
Last week hartrodt was once again part of the transport logistic exhibition 2018 in Shanghai. Together with the German Pavilion organised by Logistics Alliance Germany and Messe München, we where able to receive targeted customers and meet our key partners during the three days exhibition.

🎓 GRADATION WITH HONOURS
Last month all apprentices in Hamburg who trained to become a freight forwarder and graduated with the highest final results, were honoured at the Handwerkskammer Hamburg.

HIGH & HEAVY: transport of an asphalt plant
Recently a. hartrodt Sydney successfully handled a big high & heavy project: the transport of an asphalt plant from Alfonsine (Italy) to Sydney (Australia).
All goods were picked up at the beginning of September and arrived 3.5 months later in Sydney. Well done to our hartrodt Sydney crew and everyone else involved!

On the 11th of Feb 2018 the event Rett-Syndrom Elternhilfe - Landesverband Nord e.V. Carrera car-race took place, for the third consecutive time in Bönningstedt, Germany. During this benefit-race, our ‘hartrodt Germany – Racing Team’ competed against five other teams for a good cause at the Boennering. An incredible 3400€ were raised, to support the organisation that helps the wonderful parents with Rett Syndrome children. Providing them access to special care, special excursions, daily support and much more…
A big article was published in the Hamburger Abendblatt, expending on the great cause. Congratulations for this wonderful event and its success!

VISIT OF BIGGEST CONTAINER SHIP IN THE WORLD
Last week our hartrodt Hong Kong Managing Director, Mr. Jan Buelck, was invited by the Hafen Hamburg Marketing in Hong Kong to visit the OOCL Germany in Shenzhen.
The OOCL Germany belongs to the 21 thousand TEU class which holds currently the world record as biggest container ship in the world. The OOCL Hong Kong was the first vessel of a series of six identical sister vessels, one of them the OOCL Germany.
It was an honor that Mr. S.C. Tai, Head of OOCL’s Fleet Management Department, architect and designer of the vessel was on board to join the visit.
Another highlight: Mr. Patrick Lam, Managing Director of YICT and President of the Shenzhen Ports Association, joined the reception and gave a welcome speech at the terminal.
A special thank you also to Mr. Chi-Hang Lee (hartrodt General Manger South China), who helped managed to organise everything so well.

Once again our hartrodt Lima and Hamburg colleagues travelled to Berlin, especially for the FRUIT LOGISTICA!
